The islands of St. Kitts & Nevis are set to hold its annual culinary festival, the St. Kitts-Nevis Restaurant Week, from Tuesday 11 to Sunday 21 July. The event forms part of the island’s Summer of Fun, which runs from June 2024. Chefs from St. Kitts & Nevis and the rest of the world will use this year’s themed ingredient,
Papaya to make delightful and creative cuisines during the event.
According to the festival’s organisers, ‘we’ve been buzzing with excitement, and now it’s official – Papaya will take your taste buds on an extraordinary culinary journey like never before.”
During the 10-day celebration, several events will be held, including Cook, Sip and Glamp, on Sunday 7 July, and Nevis Tasting Showcase and St. Kitts Tasting Showcase on Saturday 13 July and Sunday 14 July respectively. The Grill Fest competition is based on the following categories: pork, chicken, fish and lobster. This will be held on Saturday 20 July, and attendees will enjoy tasty treats from some of the best grill masters on the island.
A Taste at Twilight will close the festival on Sunday 21 July, cheerfully ending 10 days of celebrating the island’s culinary delights.
In addition to the official events, restaurants create special dishes starring Papaya as the key ingredient. Known as a period that bursts with culinary creativity, the festival will bring out the best from the island’s chefs. It will also be an opportunity to meet new people and enjoy the famed hospitality of locals and the spectacular flora and fauna of the island nation.
