High street supermarket giant Sainsbury’s contribution to Black History Month was to ask its African and Caribbean staff to share some of their favourite recipes and to explain what makes the recipe special to them.
The store has published seven of the recipes on its website for the public and other staff to try. They are: Caribbean-style creamy Cajun chicken, curry chickpeas with potato, Jamaican-style curry chicken, St Lucian fried bakes, Jamaican-style bully beef with fried plantain, and South-African style Malva pudding.
