Excitement builds as the stage is set for the first national event of the Saint Lucia Carnival season. This is the 70th hosting of the National Carnival Queen Pageant, which will take place on Saturday 29 June, at The Pavilion in Rodney Bay.
The delegates were sashed in a ceremony at the Sandals Hotel’s grand ballroom on Friday 26 April, which saw them assigned to official sponsors. On Saturday 22 June a road show from the city of Castries to the Rodney Bay strip was held in honour of these young ladies, allowing them to interact with their fans and the wider public.
The finals promise grandeur, glitz, and glamour, and patrons can expect a night full of beauty, poise, and intelligence as seven delegates vie for the crown at the 70th National Carnival Queen Pageant, taking over from last year’s winner, Shanice Butcher.
The event will be live-streamed on the Saint Lucia Carnival’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
