The stage is set for the next thrilling phase of the Youth Soca Champion and Ultimate Soca Champion competitions, as semi-finalists have been revealed following an intense audition process.
Held on the 25th and 26th of January at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) in San Fernando, the auditions attracted over 200 Soca artists from across the globe. Contestants were assessed through live walk-in performances and video submissions, with judges carefully selecting the most promising talents to advance.
Now, 10 Youth Soca Champion contenders and 18, previously 20 Ultimate Soca Champion hopefuls have been chosen to move forward to the semi-finals, scheduled for today Sunday 9 February at the Naparima Bowl Amphitheatre, San Fernando. The finalists will then battle it out for the grand title on Thursday 20 February, at the iconic Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain.
