Seven contestants revealed for Saint Lucia’s National Carnival Queen Pageant

The Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC), in collaboration with the National Carnival Queen Pageant Committee, has announced the seven delegates set to compete in this year’s National Carnival Queen Pageant, an event of Lucian Carnival 2025.

The contestants are Ziggy Vitalis (Beausejour, Gros Islet), Ketrina Oculi (Aux Lyons, Dennery), Emerle Tisson (Choiseul), Hadassah Romulus (Lastic Hill, Castries), Tatiana Freitas (Bois D’Orange, Gros Islet), Shernia Phillip (Piaye, Choiseul), and Kittle Symphorien (Belfond, Soufriere).

A new committee was appointed to oversee the competition ahead of this year’s auditions. The 2025 Pageant Committee is led by Trevor King as Chairperson, with Patricia Calderon as Head Chaperone and Consuelo Dupal-Florent as Assistant Head Chaperone. Reigning Carnival Queen Shan Lucien serves as Committee Concierge Agent, while Alanis Emmanuel manages Social Media PR, and Dexter Phillips is responsible for Logistics and Production.

The official announcement of the delegates took place during the press launch of Lucian Carnival on Thursday 13 March. With their selection finalised, the contestants will now enter a rigorous training phase in preparation for the sashing ceremony, where they will each be assigned a sponsor for the season.

The 2025 edition of the National Carnival Queen Pageant is scheduled for Saturday 5 July at the Pavilion in Rodney Bay.
