Calypso Monarch 2025: Six former calypso monarchs have secured spots in the semi-finals, proving that this year’s competition is one for the books. The six progressed to the next level of the competition with 14 other hopefuls following the quarter-finals held on Thursday 1 February, at Windsor Park Stadium Forecourt. They are The Bobb, Karessah, Jaydee, Observer, Daddy Chess, and Tasha P.
The quarter-finals comprised 32 calypsonians, but 20 made it to the semi-finals competition, scheduled for Thursday 15 February, also at Windsor Park Stadium Forecourt. The competition remains a highly anticipated staple in Dominica’s carnival season, offering a platform for the island’s calypso talent.
Tickets for the semi-finals are available in four categories: advance, regular, limited seating, and online streaming access, each for $50, $60, $70, and $20.
The 2025 Dominica Calypso Monarch is an initiative of the Dominica Calypso Association, in partnership with Flow and Heineken, and sponsored by Fresh Market Pharmacy, Perry’s Pizza, ICWI, Big Edge, BB Rum, DBS Radio, Kairi FM, and Vibes Radio, among others.
