Snakey is the new title holder for the 2023 Young Kings Calypso Competition which he won with Kenny Phillips’ What Yuh Need Again Trinbago.
This win comes after he competed against 17 finalists on Tuesday 7 February at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain.
The results from the competition which was organized by the National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) were announced on Wednesday 8 February.

1st. Snakey (Heaven Charles) – What Yuh Need Again Trinbago
2nd. Duane Ta’ziah O’Connor – Sing Hallelujah
3rd. Nicholas Lucas – Since Dr. Williams
4th. Mical Teja (Mical Williams) – Hall Of Fame
5th. Rivaldo London – What If
6th. KC (Kyle Cowie) – Rise Up
7th. Rondell Greaves – Not Giving Up
This new win is preceded by the Diamond Jubilee Independence Calypso Monarch title he won with the same song.
Snakey will compete in the semi-finals of the Calypso Monarch competition on Saturday 11 February at Skinner Park.
