Basseterre, St Kitts came alive on Friday 16 December as the semi-finals of the 2016 St Kitts Soca Monarch competition took place. The competition was spread over two categories: Groovy, with 18 contestants, and Power, where there were 14 vying for a place in the final. The final will be held tonight Saturday, 24 December at Sugar Mill.
