For her second concert for the year, Calypso Queen Stacey Sobers hosted Crackers and Cheese @ Home in celebration of Calypso History Month. The show, which took place on Sunday 31 October 2021, celebrated both calypso history and Caribbean cultures, while the name referenced the Trinbagonian dish popularly known as crix and cheese.
Sobers described the event as a thank you letter to a music industry that built her and helped her find her voice. She explained: “I have a great deal of respect for the men and women who came before me and laid the foundation for me to live my passion.”
She performed some of her classic hits including the 2018 NWAC National Calypso Queens Competition winning song Queens and Kings and Singing Sandra’s powerful Die with my Dignity.
