Switch-on with steelpan on Harrow Road

|

Nostalgia Steel Band, featuring west London’s celebrated veteran pannist Cyril Khamai, will be playing at Harrow Road’s Maida Hill Market, London W9 3QA, on Saturday 30 November.

Santa’s grotto, Harrow Road Community Choir, Pimlico Music Foundation’s brass band and the inevitable elves will add to the festive atmosphere as lights on the Christmas tree are turned on by the Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Robert Rigby.

Market stalls will be selling vintage clothing, handcrafted items and street food, including Cara’s Tasty Goat. The ring of steel will get things going at 2pm, and Cyril will be playing at 3pm. The Mayor energises the illuminations at 4.30pm.
