Released Date

Stacey Sobers has been keeping busy in the midst of the global pandemic. The three-time National Calypso Monarch Finalist has kept calypso alive with the release of Joe Cool in November 2020.

The autobiographical song celebrates her father, Glendford Sobers aka Joe Cool, and was penned by Gregory ‘GB’ Ballantyne, who aptly accounted for the works of Joe Cool. The official video that accompanies the song can be seen at youtu.be/asgulaAbNdE.

On 9 January Sobers performed at Crackers & Cheese, an online show that also featured Devon Seale, 2020 National Panorama Champs Desperadoes Steel Orchestra, Jumaane ‘Jube’ Cox and Maria Bhola. Crackers & Cheese is available to view on YouTube.
