The organisers of the Ultimate Soca Champion competition announced that Sucre (Nkosi Sucre) was named the 2025 Youth Soca Champion.
The finals of the competition took place on Thursday, 20 February, at the Queen’s Park Savannah, where six talented young soca artists competed for the title. Sucre captivated the audience with his energetic performance of The Greatest, commanding the stage with dancers and an electrifying presence.
At the night’s end, Sucre secured victory, earning the grand prize of TT $200,000. Verse claimed second place with Pump It Up, taking home TT $75,000, while Christo placed third with Unity, winning a cash prize of TT $40,000.
Meanwhile, the Ultimate Soca Champion 2025 competition will be broadcast on Carnival Friday night, February 28, where the Ultimate Soca Champion Competition winner will be revealed.
