Warrior Empress in partnership with Music Mill Studios presents UnCrowned QUEENS this coming Friday 5 February. Uncrowned QUEENS is a virtual musical concert featuring some of Trinidad and Tobago’s most promising female calypsonians.
Hosted by Eunice Derrel, UnCrowned QUEENS aims to honour unsung sheroes by featuring some of the most highly regarded and promising female calypsonians in Trinidad & Tobago. None has yet held a National Calypso title, but all have contributed and continue to contribute to the cultural landscape in T&T.
Slated to thrill fans at the virtual musical concert are Lady Adanna, Lady Gypsy, SpiceY, Alana Sinnette and Tiny. Heather MacIntosh, 2011 NWAC Calypso Queen, and reigning National Calypso Monarch Terri Lyons will be among guest performers at the concert. All performances will be backed by a live band under the musical direction of Rodney Alexander.
This virtual calypso and carnival experience will be streamed live via YouTube from 8pm to 10pm (AST) (midnight GMT).
