The Nevis to St. Kitts Cross Channel Swim will celebrate its 25th anniversary on 28 March 2026. The annual event covers a 2.5-mile (4.1 km) open-water route between the sister islands and attracts swimmers from around the world, from professionals to first-time participants.
This year’s swim will feature Alice Dearing, a former marathon swimmer and Team GB Olympian, who will take part for the first time. Dearing competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and made history as the first Black woman to represent Great Britain in Olympic swimming. She is a British champion, a European medallist, and a strong advocate for access and inclusion in swimming.
The swim begins at Oualie Beach in Nevis and ends at Spice Mill Restaurant in Cockleshell Bay, St. Kitts. Swimmers can choose to race or take part in a relaxed fins swim, making the event open to all skill levels. Alongside the challenge, the swim supports environmental and community causes.
Visitors can extend their stay by booking accommodation and swim-entry packages with SwimTrek at swimtrek.com. A four-day, three-night package runs from 26 to 29 March 2026 and includes race entry, accommodation, transfers, meals, pre-race activities, race support, and a finisher’s medal. Prices start from £1,430 per person, excluding flights.
For swimmers unable to attend in March, private channel swims can be arranged through St. Kitts and Nevis Swim Events Ltd, with full safety support.
St. Kitts is served by direct British Airways flights from London Gatwick on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
