This Friday 27 May, groovy and power soca artistes will thrill audiences with the first of the 17 high-octane events that are scheduled to precede Saint Lucia Carnival.
Soca the Ultimate Tent, at Verve in Rodney Bay, will debut a series of live performances and promises to whet the appetite of revellers for the much delayed, and greatly anticipated, carnival.
Michael Esnard, the tent leader, is full of anticipation: “We are excited to be the first tent to open up the season; this will be the real opening of Carnival.”
In addition to showcasing soca, the tent is offering a platform to some of Saint Lucia’s dennery segment artistes, introducing them to a new audience and celebrating their talent.
Some of those who are set to perform at the event include Narcisse, Bounty Hype, Dirv 2 Funny, Ambi, Hollywood HP and Shemmy J.
